Ironglass Adapters has unveiled its new RED P MKII Limited Edition Series, a rare collection of sought-after Soviet lenses from the 1950s and 1960s, known for their superior optical performance and truly unique optical characteristics.

Each lens in the RED P series features the distinctive bokeh and soft focus fall-off that Soviet lenses are famous for while offering much warmer tones and more vibrant flares when compared to their later, mass-produced counterparts. Their RED P coating sets them apart with a distinctive combination of blue, teal, and purple flares paired with a warmth that beautifully complements skin tones.

The MKII rehousing not only preserves the original optical qualities of these special lenses but also equips them with new robust bodies and mechanics. With the internal «HELICAM» focus system, these lenses now offer smooth, precise focus control and improved minimum focusing distance.

The RED P series is an extremely rare offering, with only 30 complete sets available for new clients, plus 20 upgrade slots for our original RED P MKI customers.
